This study takes place in the context of hiring “health promoters” (HPs) to achieve public health goals related to HIV/AIDS. Neighborhoods are randomly assigned to a control group (no HP) or to one of three treatment groups in which they receive an HP that is hired on the basis of different amounts of information. Primary outcomes include HIV testing and antiretroviral therapy refills in study neighborhoods.
