Outstanding Use of Forecasts Award

We are thrilled to introduce the SSPP Outstanding Use of Forecasts Award, designed to recognize, encourage, and reward exceptional use of forecasting in research.

Prizes

There will be a $10,000 award for the most outstanding use of forecasts, along with supplementary $5,000 and $1,000 runner-up prizes.

Criteria

A committee of economic experts, including the SSPP PIs, shall determine the research projects most worthy of the awards. They will consider both the design of the survey and how well the forecasts are utilized to inform novel research results.

Eligibility

To be eligible, a project must elicit forecasts using the SSPP platform. We will consider all forecasting projects running on the platform between July 1, 2024 and March 31, 2025. (the deadline has been extended from December 31, 2024)
