Abstract
The study explores the mechanisms behind the success of Ultra-Poor Graduation Programs (UPGs), aiming to reduce extreme poverty through a livelihood intervention that bundles monthly cash transfers, group training, formation of savings groups, one-on-one coaching, and a large business start-up grants or productive assets. The study conducts a randomized control trial with high-frequency data collection to better understand the mechanisms at play in these programs.
